Shopify POS

clunk 4/10

A few taps to find the draft.

Ragpiq creates a draft order and your team finishes it on the Shopify till. Any reader Shopify drives will do.

  1. In Integrations, connect Shopify.
  2. At checkout, choose Point of sale, then Shopify POS if you run more than one till.
  3. In Shopify POS: Orders, then Draft orders, and open the newest. Take payment there.

Nothing is marked sold until you take the payment. Until then the stock is still yours.

Two Shopify requirements

Paying a draft order in person needs Shopify POS Pro, and the item must already be listed to Shopify, since your POS sells from the Shopify catalogue.

New listings reach the till on their own

Every listing Ragpiq sends to Shopify is published to your Point of Sale channel as it lands, so it can be rung up straight away. That is the Auto-publish to POS switch under More settings on the Shopify card in Integrations, on by default beside Auto-publish to online store. Turn it off if you would rather add products to the till yourself in Shopify. Either switch only affects listings sent from then on.

Scan a Ragpiq label on the Shopify till

Every listing Ragpiq sends to Shopify carries the item's SKU in both the SKU field and the barcode field. A label printed from Ragpiq encodes that same SKU, so the barcode on the tag scans straight into a Shopify POS cart with no extra setup. Print labels after listing, or before: an item gets its SKU the first time either happens, and both carry the same number from then on.

Two things worth knowing:

  • Listings sent before 3 September 2026 have the SKU but not the barcode. Ask us to run the backfill for your store and every earlier listing scans too.
  • A product you brought across from Shopify keeps whatever barcode it already had. If that is a supplier code, the till scans that code and not the Ragpiq label. We never overwrite a barcode you set yourself.
